Tupac: Coming to a City Near You… Maybe

Tupac made the internet go nuts with the video of his digital resurrection went viral on Monday. Now, he may be coming to a city near you.

According to TheFader.com, Dr. Dre and Snoop are in talks for a stadium tour involving the computerized Pac, along with possible acts Eminem, Wiz Khalifa and 50 Cent.

It goes without saying that this technology is incredibly mind-blowing. To be able to bring back to life acts from previous generations is a feat in itself. What’s next on the menu? Maybe Michael Jackson can live out his “This Is It” tour through the power of hologram technology. Can we see Biggie rock the stage once more with Diddy? The whole thing kinda reminds me of the Cafe ’80s scene from Back To the Future II where a computer monitor version of MJ is giving the daily specials.

It’s not difficult to see the potential revenue stream for a production of this caliber; however, will fans see it as paying homage to a o Read More→

The new Canon EOS-1D C. If you can’t memorize that name, try this. The new $15,000 toy from Canon. This baby shoots in 4K resolution, yes 4K. What is 4K you might ask? It’s the next greatest thing. Remember when those “new” TVs came out that advertised HD technology and 1080p resolutions? Well, 4K is 8 times that. So now you’ve spent $15,000 on a camera that shoots in a format that most televisions on the market right now don’t even support, actually without research, I’d venture to bet there is not a single commercially available 4K television right now. So what’s the point? Read on. Read More→

According to a recent survey, 51% of households in America own at least one Apple product. This isn’t at all surprising considering that Apple is now the biggest company in the world in terms of Market Capitalization, and just recently entered an elite group of companies valued over $500 billion, along with Exxon Mobil and Microsoft back in the day. This just goes to show, Apple has staying power; who knows where things will go next. Well, aside from their next operating system.

Tech Moguls...

Just when you thought it was safe to let your children play on the Internet, the Insane Clown Posse crawls forth from the Matrix to corrupt their little souls away through their monitors and smart phones .

I just signed up and I gotta tell you… It is crazy over there. All facepaint, devil music, and naked jugglettes juggs…. Take from that what you will.

Let’s be clear. Juggalobook, beat for beat, is a complete rip off of Facebook. More specifically, it’s a rip off of a previous form of Facebook before timeline had Facebook looking like MySpace.

I.C.P. is one of those nigh-universally reviled acts that inexplicably (according to many) manage to retain the most devout following… An almost religious following. The Dark Carnival continues to travel around the nation capturing the hearts and minds of the strange, freakish, and disenfranchised. They just keep on trucking, no matter what anyone says or does to them. You literally HAVE to respect that. You do realize that it’s been over 30 years of them, right? Maybe Russell Simmons was right about horror core after all.

Juggalobook exists… and it knows how magnets work!

OSX Mountain Lion: Goodbye “Mac”

Friday, February 17th, 2012

In the past few years we have seen desktop operating systems on both Windows and Mac transform themselves into a mere shell of their old selves, slowly edging towards a unified mobile OS experience. With every year that passes the Mac becomes more like the iPhone and iPad, and Windows and Xbox function more and more like a Windows Phone. So it’s not a surprise that the next Mac Operating system will, for first the time, no longer be called a “Mac OS.” Apple has dropped the “Mac” all together, and it is now OSX Mountain Lion. So what does that mean for Mac users?

Much of the internet (including TheYayOrNay, natch) shuttered its windows on Wednesday to show Congress and the world just how awful the SOPA/PIPA legislation would be. But while many went dark, others decided  to take on Senator Lamar Smith, the author of the bills.

And they’ve done a pretty good job trashing him. Turns out Senator Smith is a copyright infringer.

Reddit, Boing Boing, The Daily What, Mozilla, and other big internet sites are “going dark” January 18 in opposition to SOPA and PIPA, the pending US legislation that creates a punishing Internet censorship regime and exports it to the rest of the world.

Boing Boing explains:

“We could never co-exist with a SOPA world: we could not ever link to another website unless we were sure that no links to anything that infringes copyright appeared on that site. So in order to link to a URL on LiveJournal or WordPress or Twitter or Blogspot, we’d have to first confirm that no one had ever made an infringing link, anywhere on that site. Making one link would require checking millions (even tens of millions) of pages, just to be sure that we weren’t in some way impinging on the ability of five Hollywood studios, four multinational record labels, and six global publishers to maximize their profits. If we failed to take this precaution, our finances could be frozen, our ad broker forced to pull ads from our site, and depending on which version of the bill goes to the vote, our domains confiscated, and, because our server is in Canada, our IP address would be added to a US-wide blacklist that every ISP in the country would be required to censor.”

You guys, this is totally important.

“That’s real wicker,” the sales lady boasted proudly as she gives me a private tour of the latest from Tumi. Because if your regular iPhone case doesn’t cut it, you can get a real wicker, leather, wood, or pretty much any material case. Read More→

Now, you may be familiar with these in sizes of 4, 8, or even 16 gb, but the micro sd card pictured here, from SanDisk, holds 64GB worth of pictures and video. That’s 4 times as much as the standard 16GB iPhone4S. Click to read about projectors that fit in your laptop and unlocking your computer without even touching it. Read More→
